Journal Special Section
The top-quality papers presented at the workshop can be extended and published in the Special Issue "Real-Time Processing of Remotely-Sensed Imaging Data" of the MDPI Journal: http://www.mdpi.com/journal/remotesensing/special_issues/real_time . Authors of the OBPDC18 Workshop are invited to submit an extended version of their paper to the Journal Special Issue. Onboard data compression is becoming more and more important as new remote sensing instruments generate higher and higher data rates, and a special section on this topic is a very good way to provide the picture of the state-of-the-art in this area.
