Social Dinner
The Social Dinner will take place on Tuesday the 12th of November 2019.
The Social Dinner takes place at restaurant Koetshuis de Burcht in the authentic city centre of Leiden. Het Koetshuis dates from 1657 when Leiden still was called the 'Cloth' city. The merchants came from far by carriage to sell their 'the sheets'. Sometimes the merchants were on the road for days and het Koetshuis (The Coach House) was then used for parking the carriages. In 1778 the Leiden department of the Dutch Society of Industry and Commerce was established here. The Coach House is located at the foot of the historic castle which was built in around 1100.
