European Conference On Spacecraft Structures, Materials And Environmental Testing

ECSSMET 2024

Aim and Scope

The aim of the “European Conference on Spacecraft Structures, Materials and Environmental Testing” is to promote discussion and exchange of experience among the mechanical engineering community on topics related to structures and structural materials for spacecraft, launchers and payloads design, development, assembly, integration and verification, including environmental testing.

The conference sessions will be devoted to:
  • Mechanical architecture, design and engineering
  • Innovative Structures (damping, deployable, stable, active)
  • Structural Materials
  • Structural dimensioning, including damage tolerance, fatigue …
  • Dynamics (sine, acoustic, random, shocks, microvibrations…)
  • Environmental testing and test prediction
  • Advanced manufacturing, including Additive Layer Manufacturing
  • In-flight experiments and flight data
  • Space Sustainability (debris, D4D, HVI…)
  • New Space (missions, methodologies…)
  • Digital engineering (AI, digitalisation) applied to structures
  • Advanced Metrology

The ECSSMET 2024 offers the chance to join an international network and establish new cooperation ties with industry, agencies and academia.
