Following a very successful, but fully virtual online edition of the ESA Workshop on Aerospace EMC in 2022, we are happy to announce that our next Workshop will once again be held face-to-face in the beautiful city of Seville (Spain) in May 2025

Abstract submission closed!

Compatibility of electrical equipment with the electromagnetic environment is and will remain essential for its proper functioning and performance. It is fundamental for cost efficiency, in particular for recurrent platforms and series production, such as aircraft, telecom satellites and navigation constellations. For aircraft, space launch vehicles and human spaceflight, EMC ensures reliability and safety.

The continuing trend of electronics towards miniaturisation, higher frequencies, using Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components, modularity, and reconfigurable components challenges EMC to face urgent needs, including

  • early digital simulations and modelling
  • effective electromagnetic interference control
  • advanced EMC test methods and facilities for time and cost efficiency, to complement simulation with hardware testing

The ESA Workshop on Aerospace EMC aims to address these challenges by

  • roviding an established forum for EMC researchers and engineers in aerospace to discuss and exchange
  • giving a comprehensive up-to-date overview of present EMC technologies and trends
  • fostering awareness and discussion on future developments to ensure the aerospace EMC community can master the evolving advances and challenges in aerospace

The Workshop will include

  • plenary sessions
  • poster sessions
  • technical exhibition
  • social program (incl. welcome drink, gala dinner, cultural excursion)

The working language will be English.
