The twenty-sixth International Vacuum Electronics Conference, IVEC 2025, is an event organized and sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA) with the technical co-sponsorship of the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS). The conference will be held on 14 to 17 April 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
IVEC was originally created in 2000 by merging the US Power Tubes conferences and the European Space Agency TWTA Workshops, and has since then expanded into a fully international conference. IVEC 2025 aims at being an international forum of information and technical discussion between the various players in the field of vacuum electronics: designers, researchers, young and experienced engineers, scientists, device users, manufacturers, operators, government/institutions, academics and of course, our valuable students.
A highlight of IVEC 2025 will be the introduction of a special session, focused on electric propulsion systems for space applications. IVEC 2025 is the ideal forum to present and discuss the promising research from this field with the wider vacuum electronics community.
As is customary at IVEC, the John R. Pierce Award for Excellence in Vacuum Electronics, the Vacuum Electronics Young Scientist Award and the Best Student Paper Award will be presented. The Conference will also be complemented with a varied and interesting social program, details of which will be posted on the IVEC 2025 website in the months to come. As in past conferences, the technical meeting and social events will provide a unique opportunity to renew friendships with colleagues and friends, interact with customers, and meet students.
