The ESA Mechanisms Section is organising the annual Space Mechanisms Workshop, this year focused on Mechanisms for CubeSats and Microsats. The workshop is aimed to improve the communication between mechanisms suppliers (delivering the components/devices for microsats missions) and customers (companies and institutions in charge of procurement of the specific mechanisms for their platforms or instruments). This is also the opportunity to share the latest developments results for microsats applications to interested parties from the ESA member states.

The Mechanism Workshop will take place as a fully online event based on WebEx Pro platform on 07/06/2023

The main goal of the workshop is to connect the stakeholders from both sides: the microsats mechanisms’ suppliers and the customers. Thanks to this event, we want to provide a place where all parties will be able to exchange information:

  • on the one hand, the needs and requirements from customers, including potential technology gaps and needs for technology development (customer session)
  • on the other hand, a presentation from the suppliers on their capabilities, products and qualification status and plans for future product development, the lessons learned, and good practices gained during the projects developments (suppliers session)

Please note that due to the nature of the information that will be shared, this on-line event can only be attended by participants from entities registered in an ESA Member State, Associate State or Cooperating State. ESA Member states (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom), associated states (Canada, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovenia) or cooperating states (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Malta and Slovakia).
