You are invited to participate in the sixth edition of the annual ScyLight Conference on 15 and 16 May 2023, and a Workshop on the future of Quantum Technologies on 17 May 2023.

The conference will be hosted jointly by the Ministry of Digital Governance, General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post and ESA.

Optical and quantum technologies are set to revolutionise connectivity on a global scale. They will boost the performance, security and resilience of our satellites exponentially, and help us safeguard our data at levels which previously were inconceivable. European industry is at the forefront of this new technology and the ScyLight Conference is a highlight in the optical and quantum communications space community. Oversubscribed in recent years, the conference is an opportunity for European and Canadian industries, researchers and end users to share expertise, network and plan the future of optical and quantum communication technologies.

It is also the place for subject matter experts to showcase the latest developments in the sector under the ESA ScyLight programmatic umbrella and beyond. The event will allow stakeholders in the Optical and Quantum Communication Technologies to engage and discuss in a dedicated forum.

Please join us in Athens for the sixth edition of the annual ScyLight Conference, which will be hosted jointly this year by the Greek Ministry of Digital Governance, the General Secretariat of Telecommunications and Post and ESA. Building on the success of previous years, this year’s conference will also include a workshop on day three, with transport to and from Kalavryta arranged for those delegates wishing to participate.

This event is for anyone from the ESA Member States or Canada who is working or researching in the fields of optical and quantum satellite communications, or who is either already directly involved in a sector which will benefit from this technology. These include banking, transportation, energy and other critical infrastructure.
