This game is intended for people interested in Concurrent Design, who did not yet have the chance to participate in a study. The game takes about 45 minutes in which we simulate a Concurrent Design study with 2-3 sessions. The game has a simplified design challenge, but it gives you a realistic impression of what Concurrent Design is like, and how these sessions typically run. RHEA has developed this game to transfer Concurrent Design to the Dutch MOD, where over 500 people now played this game.

Concurrent Design is a collaborative engineering approach. A Concurrent Design team is multidisciplinary, and as such each expert is at some point challenged to explain his/her part of the solution to the team in a comprehensible way. This is important to create shared understanding and develop insights in challenges and risks, especially where interfaces and trade-offs play an important role. In this game we use a fun game to practice collaboration and communication skills that are critical to transfer knowledge across domains. The game is part of RHEA’s advanced training program for Concurrent Design.
