Course Application

The course registration fee is €2750 and includes the following:

  • Course material
  • Coffee breaks and lunches during the 5 day course and 6 dinners
  • Welcome reception
  • Social activity

Kindly note that to be considered for the course you will need to submit your CV and provide a brief description of your job role. All requests to attend the SOIDT course are assessed by the organising committee. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent latest after 10 working days (with the exception of the holiday period, 19 December 2025 - 12 January 2026) of receiving your filled in application. If accepted you will be provided with instructions by email on how to complete your registration and payment in step 2.

Selection Criteria:

Lecturers are experienced personnel from Industry, Research Institutions and the European Space Agency, their contribution is essential to achieve the objective of the SOIDT, which is to reinforce the community of Optical Engineer operating in the Space Sector.
The number of participants to the SOIDT is limited to 65. The participants will be selected on a first come first serve basis. However, the event is conceived following the values reported in the ESA Convention, namely to “facilitate the exchange of scientific and technical information pertaining to the fields of space research and technology and their space applications”. Although participants are not required to disclose any sensitive information, networking and sharing lessons learned are a trademark of the SOIDT. We therefore welcome participants able to comply with this learning approach.

Part IV: Division of the course on Monday and Tuesday

Please indicate your preferred Code V course (Beginner Class & advanced class). Space within classes is limited to an approximately equal split between classes A and B. The classes both contain the same course material, with the exception of the Code V sessions on Monday and Tuesday.
