Roger McKinlay

Roger McKinlay was appointed Challenge Director – Quantum Technologies for UK Research and Innovation in September 2018.
Roger has served on the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme Strategic Advisory Board has served as a panel member on two recent government reports providing advice to policy makers, one on Quantum Technologies and the other a study of critical dependence on GNSS.

He has held technical, programme management and strategy positions in the oil and gas, civil aviation, defence, security, maritime and rail industries, including being head of Engineering in Thales UK.
Roger studied Engineering at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, and is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, Fellow of the Institute of Directors, and Fellow of Royal Institute of Navigation.  He is a past president of the Royal Institute of Navigation and was awarded the Institute’s JED Williams Silver Medal in 2018.
He currently chairs the ESA NAVISP Advisory Committee (NAVAC).

 
Dr Nigel Davies

Nigel Davies is Chief Engineer of Secured Navigation at QinetiQ, where he is responsible for Technical and Business strategy.  He is responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of R&D, consultancy, solutions and products for secured, resilient positioning, navigation and timing.  Whilst this is principally focussed on Galileo and GNSS satellite navigation systems, it also includes the use of existing and novel complementary sensors and technologies.  QinetiQ provides secured navigation products for Governmental, military, critical infrastructure and commercial customers for whom PNT is mission critical.  Nigel is a QinetiQ Senior Fellow and has a PHD in Digital Radio and its Applications and has worked in a series of senior technical and strategic roles within QinetiQ and its predecessor organisations including the UK Ministry of Defence.

Botho Graf zu Eulenburg

Botho Graf zu Eulenburg was appointed Managing Director of Sapcorda Services GmbH in 2016 as the first employee in the newly founded Joint Venture. Botho previously worked for Airbus Defence and Space as Head of High Precision GNSS. Among others he served as Managing Director for their subsidiary AXIO-NET GmbH, an RTK network company that provided GNSS services in the classical high precision GNSS application fields like surveying, agriculture and construction. He founded an Internet start-up in 2000 and worked as a strategy consultant for 5 years. Botho studied business administration at the universities of Göttingen and Greifswald in Germany.

 
Dr. Arndt Kadelka

Dr. Arndt Kadelka is working as Senior Expert Strategic Initiatives at Deutsche Telekom AG in the board division Technology and Innovation. Currently he is leading the strategic initiative on localization services and positioning technologies. During his career at Deutsche Telekom he had various assignments in areas of technology innovation and product management. Before this, Arndt held positions in product and technology design of mobile networks at Alcatel and headed research activities in European and national R&D programs.
Arndt studied electrical engineering at University of Dortmund and obtained his PhD at Aachen University of Technology. 

 
Gilles Boime

Telecommunication diploma from Paris Electronic Engineering School. He joined the timing systems and products activities in a SME company 27 Years ago and contributed in the late 1990’s to the target applications of Galileo definition for European Commission. This SME took part of the foundation of OROLIA group. For the last 10 years he contributes to the development of systems and solutions than grows OROLIA to a leadership position in the resilient PNT market. He is Chief Scientist for OROLIA.

Dr. Peter Fairhurst

Peter Fairhurst joined the Product Strategy team in the Product Center Positioning at u-blox AG in 2015 and is responsible for u-blox’s high precision GNSS product line.  Prior to u-blox, he was part of the Product Management group at Leica Geosystems AG, where his focus was on High Precision GNSS Surveying technology. Peter Fairhurst holds a bachelor degree in Mathematics & Computer Sciences, a doctorate degree in satellite geodesy from Newcastle University and an MBA diploma from the University of Strathclyde. 

 
Jerome O. Vogedes

Jerome has over 20 years of experience in wireless telecommunications, location technologies and services, standards development, and industry policy. He is passionate about creating innovative positioning solutions across many verticals, such as mobile networks, aerial and ground vehicles, and mission critical (e.g. first responders).

As a leader in driving standards development organizations for NextNav, Jerome is responsible for development and standardization of game changing location and emergency services technologies, with a focus on 3GPP LTE and 5G.

With more than 25 patents issued or pending, Jerome is a leading innovator in the wireless systems and location services field. He is a leader in several industry standards organizations and alliances and has held many roles from Board of Directors, chairman/VC to rapporteur. Jerome is currently serving as the vice chair of the SAE PNT Technical Committee as well as rapporteur of several 3GPP work tems.
