How to get ECSAT

Arriving by car 

 
From the A34 (driving south) 
Exit the A34 at the Milton Interchange Junction, the A4130 (A417) exit signposted Milton, Chilton, Didcot and Wantage.
At the roundabout take the fourth exit signposted A4130 Wantage, Steventon, Drayton, Harwell.
Follow this road for one and a half miles and continue straight on at the Rowstock roundabout onto the A4185.
After about two miles turn right at the roundabout onto Fermi Avenue (signposted Harwell Oxford, RAL, and NRPB). You will see ECSAT on your left.

From the A34 (driving north) 
Exit the A34 at the Chilton Junction, branch left (signposted Wantage), then merge onto the A4185. At the next roundabout take the first exit (signposted Harwell Business Centre, RAL, and NRPB) onto Fermi Avenue. You will see ECSAT on your left.

From Heathrow Airport (59 miles/95km) 
Take the M4 motorway towards Slough, Reading and the West. Continue as far as junction 13 and then head north for about 8 miles on the A34 towards Oxford and follow the A34 directions given above.

From Gatwick Airport (89 miles /144km) 
Take the M23 to London and Guildford. At junction 7/8 join the M25 to Heathrow and Watford. At junction 15, take the M4 towards Slough, Reading and the West, and continue to junction 13. Head north for about 8 miles on the A34 towards Oxford and follow the A34 directions given above.
Parking spaces for visitors are available in the parking space at the front of the building.

Arriving by public transport


By train 
Didcot train station is 10 minutes drive from the Centre and has frequent connections to Oxford, London, Bristol and the South coast.

A taxi from Didcot Parkway train station to ECSAT will cost between £15 - £18. 

By shuttle bus
 
The campus has a dedicated shuttle bus service running between Didcot Parkway train station and the campus (drop off Satellite Applications Catapult, next to ECSAT Atlas Building). It runs every 30 minutes on weekdays between 8:00 and 9:30 and 16:30 and 18:00. It is a 15-minute journey.
Price is ₤2 per trip. You can pay at the Satellite Applications Catapult reception before travel, and purchase a single ticket or 5, 10 or 20 trip punchcards.

By bus
 
The local bus routes which serve the Harwell Campus are listed below:
• Thames Travel - Routes X1/X32/X34 every 15 minutes between Oxford, Didcot, Harwell and Wantage with the dedicated Harwell Campus buses equipped with wifi.
• Newbury Buses - Route 6/6A
• Stagecoach - Route 34 (timetable opens into x30/31 - Harwell Campus service is shown on Route 31 Monday – Friday)
