ESA is delighted to have hosted the DUAL-CRYO scientific workshop on dual-band altimetry (Ku/Ka/Laser, including possible tri-band studies) of the cryosphere, strictly focused on the use and comparison of dual-band or tri-band existing observations (from in situ, airborne, and satellite instruments) and the relevant theory for the study of sea ice and land ice.
The workshop was held online (Webex) over two half-days on 13 and 14 January, with two 3.5-h sessions on land ice/sea ice that included keynote talks, followed by short contributed talks from participants, and then ample time for a structured discussion aimed at addressing the workshop objectives.
The workshop was open and free of charge, with 133 registered participants. See the agenda, with links to the archived workshop presentations.
A workshop report is in preparation.
