The registration fees to the course is €2750 and includes the following:

Lecturers are experienced personnel from Industry, Research Institutions and the European Space Agency, their contribution is essential to achieve the objective of the SOIDT, which is to reinforce the community of Optical Engineer operating in the Space Sector.

The number of participants to the SOIDT is limited to 65. The participants will be selected on a first come first serve basis. However, the event is conceived following the values reported in the ESA Convention, namely to “facilitate the exchange of scientific and technical information pertaining to the fields of space research and technology and their space applications”. Although participants are not required to disclose any sensitive information, networking and sharing lessons learned are a trademark of the SOIDT. We therefore welcome participants able to comply with this learning approach.

Registration Process

As in previous year, the registration process consists of two steps.

Step 1 – Expression of Interest
All prospective participants are requested to submit an expression of interest. Upon receiving your application, we will review it and respond within 10 working days (with the exception of the holiday period, 18 December 2025 - 14 January 2026) to inform you of the outcome and whether you have been accepted.

Step 2 – Registration and Accommodation
Applicants who are accepted will receive an email containing the registration link and access to the accommodation booking tool, which we highly recommend using to secure accommodation.
Once you have received the acceptance email, please complete your registration within 10 working days using the provided link. Applicants who have not registered within this period will receive a reminder.

As the SOIDT course attracts significant interest, we kindly remind you to register promptly upon acceptance to secure your place.

Accommodation

The SOIDT is conceived as a residential course to facilitate exchange of experience and foster professional networking. The organisation has selected the Colonna Resort, at which we have negotiated very good rates. Participants are requested to stay at the Colonna Resort. A link for the booking will be sent with the registration confirmation.

Standard Garden View Double room for double use, with your partner* € 260.00 per night ( Includes Breakfast for partner, city tax)
Standard Garden View Double Room for double use, sharing with another participant: € 130.00 per Night per Person (inclusive breakfast and city tax)

* It is possible to bring an accompanying person to stay at the hotel. The accompanying person can have access to the dinners and lunches for an additional fee. This can be booked via the course registration and edited until the 17th of April 2026.
