The objectives of the Payloads Day are the following:
a) To inform European entities about the two proposed payloads intended to be onboard Argonaut Mission 1:
i. RSMA: Robotic Surface Mobility Asset
ii. MRP: Moon Robotic Payload
b) To present the high-level requirements of both payloads, including the interface constraints with the Argonaut Lander and the services provided by the lander.
c) To present the newly introduced ESA Misson Classification initiative, with focus on Gamma Class missions.
d) To present the overall ESA Lunar Science roadmap, opportunistic science approach for Argonaut mission1, and explain the future selection process for potential scientific instruments
e) To present the Argonaut-1 operations including the selection process for the first European Lunar landing site.
f) To detail the process for the Call for Proposal with Procurement for both payloads:
a. proposal preparation and evaluation
b. Timeline
c. Interactions with the Argonaut Mission Integration Prime
d. Programmatic aspects including:
i. Geo-return Requirements
ii. Consortium build-up
iii. In-kind contribution approach
g) To conduct Q&A and engage in discussion with the participants on all the above and more. Additionally, there will be the opportunity to meet possible industrial/institutional partners.
