The “Advanced Space Technologies in Robotics and Automation” (ASTRA) symposium is organized by the Automation and Robotics (A&R) section of the European Space Agency (ESA), usually every two years. The symposium brings together the European A&R community, but warmly welcomes international participation.

Following the success of the last edition of the symposium, which was held in 2022 at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, and making up for cancelled conferences during the pandemic, the next edition of ASTRA is planned for 18 - 20 October 2023. The event will be hosted at Scheltema, Leiden (The Netherlands).
