In collaboration with European Microwave Association (EuMA) and the European Microwave Week (EuMW), discussions are ongoing for selected best papers presented during SMW’23 to be invited for presentation during a forthcoming EuMW event.

 

Space Microwave Week Awards

ESA in collaboration with EuMA are sponsoring two awards for the best contribution to the Space Microwave Week conference.

The Prizes will be awarded according to the following categories:

  • Space Microwave Week Best Young Professional Paper (1)
  • Space Microwave Week Best Student Paper (2) 

The value of each prize will be 500€, and each winner will receive a certificate issued by ESA and EuMA. Presentation of the awards will be made during the SMW event.

Selection will be based entirely on the material submitted, i.e., abstract and full paper. In order to be considered for one of these two categories, please tick the relevant box when submitting the Abstract. Eligibility as follows:

(1) To be considered for the Young Professional Space Microwave Week Prize, the eligible author must be enrolled in industry, government agency, research institute or post-doctoral position from less than 5 years from completion of their last relevant degree at the time of the submission deadline, not be a full-time student or a faculty member, be the first author of the paper, and personally present the paper at the Space Microwave Week.

(2) To be considered for the Space Microwave Week Student Prize, the eligible author must be a full-time student up to PhD level at the time of the submission deadline, be the first author of the paper, and personally present the paper at the Space Microwave Week.
