There are many opportunities for sightseeing and things to do in Leiden!  

In 2022, Leiden will be the Dutch stage of the European scientific world. The major issues of our time will be discussed during countless conferences and special meetings, and ISMSE/ICPMSE is one of the advertised events, which occurs just before European Space Week.  The ultimate goal of Leiden European City of Science is to connect science and society.

In Leiden there is plenty to do and see ! The historic city Centre is home to no fewer than 28 kilometers of canals. To cross all these canals, you need bridges, and the city Centre alone has no fewer than 88 bridges! The historic city Centre is surrounded by water. These surrounding moats, known as singels, enclose many green spaces, which is why this area is called Singelpark. Visits can also be made to courtyard gardens, the birthplace of Rembrandt, museums, botanical gardens, windmills and many canal side bars and restaurants. Treasure hunt walks and boat trips on the water can easily be arranged.
