Workshop Objectives

The workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to present and discuss the progress and recent advances that have been made in the optical communication domain. The event will allow to easily interconnect with other participants, to establish new cooperation opportunities or to extend existing ones. The primary objective of the annual ScyLight WS is to provide a platform for networking of the community. 

  • The workshop will be organised in 4 sequential blocks, addressing:
  • Optical Communication Technology at System Level
  • Future and challenges of Optical Communication Technologies
  • Trends and challenges of Intra-Satellite Photonics / Optical Payloads
  • Space based Quantum Communication Technologies – today and tomorrow

For each of these topics, interested participants may request the opportunity to either give a presentation (10') or a pitch (5’ and 3 slides maximum).

During registration process, presentations or pitches can be proposed. The abstract deadline for these is foreseen to be on 19th of April 2022.
