Presentation & Poster Guidelines
Abstracts submitted for inclusion in the Electronic Materials & Packaging Symposium (EMPS) have been reviewed and selected. Presentation submission deadline is the Sunday, 31 August. While a final paper is encouraged, it is not required. Presenting authors are requested to confirm attendance by registering before Tuesday, 01 July.
Technical requirements and recommendations for the Oral Presentations:
- Please note that the presentation file shall adhere to the following naming convention:
- PaperNumber_LastName-FirstName_Presentation
- An example would be 987_Rocket-Alex_Presentation
- The same convention applies to the submission of the paper with "Paper" instead of the "Presentation" in the end of the file name, i.e. PaperNumber_Lastname-FirstName_Paper. Though this is optional.
- The presentations should contain clear information with appropriate font size (i.e. at least 18) that is legible from the back of the conference room.
- Slides shall be prepared in 16:9 format.
- Presenters will have 25 minutes allocated per presentation, with 20 minutes allocated for the presentation and 5 minutes for Q&A and discussions.
- A Windows-based computer will be available for the presentations. Presentation files can be displayed using MS PowerPoint or Adobe PDF Reader.
- Please prepare and deliver your presentation by clicking on the below button, and keep copies with you on a USB stick for any technical issues which might occur during the setup before the start of the session.
- Please note that the presentations will be published as part of the final Proceedings.
- Presenters are kindly requested to arrive to the meeting room at least 20 minutes before the start of their session.
- The presentation shall not include any proprietary, confidential nor similar material and/or data.
Technical requirements and recommendations for Poster Presentations:
- Blue screen of dimensions 230h width and 100w will be provided to pin a (paper) poster. This will fit a poster size of A0. Alternatively, authors may bring their own poster display stand.
- Each poster presenter will be provided with a poster board labelled with a pre-assigned ID number.
- Authors shall comply to the poster size requirement with a single paper sheet, i.e. using multiple sheets of smaller papers, e.g. A4s, is not allowed.
- Presenters in the poster sessions are required to bring their own printed posters. Please note that on-site printing will not be available. Additionally, materials for mounting posters (such as pins or thumbtacks) will not be provided at the venue. Presenters are therefore advised to bring their own supplies for attaching their posters to the boards.
- Presenters are kindly requested to be available by their posters throughout the poster session to engage with symposium participants and answer any questions. This session is scheduled during the afternoon coffee break on Tuesday, 7 October and Wednesday, 8 October, providing a dedicated opportunity for interaction and discussion. The poster shall not include any proprietary, confidential nor similar material and/or data.
- Poster presenters are kindly requested to put up and take down their own posters. The conference organisers will take no responsibility for posters abandoned or not removed at the conclusion of the conference.
The printed poster may contain text, figures, tables, photographs, etc, which should be neat and legible from approximately 1.50m (5ft). This corresponds approximately to the following letter size for capitals:
- Title : 15 mm high (size 60)
- Subtitles : 12 mm high (size 48)
- Text and figure captions : 7.5 mm high (size 30)
The illustrations and photos should be enlarged enough to show relevant details. Posters using a series of A4 or A3 sheets instead of a proper poster will not be accepted.
