Example of digitalisation activities at ESA

ESA is heavily investing towards a full digitalisation of its processes and in particular the missions and projects lifecycle. In this context, ESA and its partners (industrials and research institutions) started research initiatives such as:

Requirements automation and Natural Language Processing (NLP): how to fasten the verification process
Space System Ontology: to define a unified vocabulary and fundamentals of Spacecraft Systems interactions
Standardisation such as SMP, HLA, FMI …
Linking EDS and MBSE to automate Simulator and Simulation models configuration.
