Travelling to Gran Canaria

The Gran Canaria Airport (namely LPA) is 20 kilometres south of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City. Travelling to Gran Canaria is very easy nowadays. As a touristic place, the most important flying companies have direct flights from anywhere in Europe to Gran Canaria Island. There are also many connections from main airports in Spain, Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla or Malaga, to mention some.

You can also flight from Europe to other islands (Fuerteventura, Lanzarote or Tenerife) but take in account that another local flight (between 30 to 45 minutes) is needed to get the Gran Canaria Airport. The most important local flight company is Binter.

Taxi from Airport to city

A taxi ride from the airport to the city centre will take approximately 25-35 minutes depending on traffic levels. The cost is about 35/40 € during the daytime (5:00 am - 00:00 am). Bus from Airport to city

A direct bus from airport to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria city (Santa Catalina Bus Station) is available approximately every 30 minutes. The ride to the city is about 30 minutes and cost less than 3€. The service is running from 5:25 to 2:45 (Monday to Friday) or from 5:30 to 2:45 (Saturdays and Sundays). More information available HERE.
